Immerse

Object Outline

Description

To make interactable objects easier to identify, the Immerse SDK includes an "Object Outline" feature.

A blue outline is displayed on one of the green balls. This is the same color as the user's avatar.

How it works

If a user's hands are detected near an interactable object and that object can be interacted with (e.g. it is in a valid state), then a thin outline is displayed around the object. This helps identify nearby objects and also which object will be interacted with when the trigger is pulled (particularly useful if there is more than one object or the object is small).

Object Outline is enabled by default; nothing needs to be done to set it up.

Options

The color of the outline and other useful properties can be configured by adding a Configuration component. See Mapping input from controllers for details on properties which can be modified.
